Farm - Coach Pitch- Little League Softball - Girls
This division is one division up from Tee Ball for players League Age 6 and 7 (inexperienced). This is a non-competitive division and there are no wins or losses. Basic skills are refined and stressed. Coaches are allowed on the field during games to encourage/instruct players. At this level players are taught to hit pitched balls by a coaches toss. If the ball is not put into play after 5-6 pitches, the player will be allowed to hit off of a tee. Players will be called out (except for strike outs) however they will not be counted. Every player will bat once each inning (continuous lineup). An inning is over when everyone has taken a turn a bat.
The roster size for a Farm team averages 8-10 players.
There is usually 1 weeknight game starting around 530pm and 1 Saturday game each week and last around 1 to 1:15 minutes. Games will be no less than 3 innings and will be played on traditional sized little league field with modified base path of 50 ft. Season will be 12-16 games. When and how many practices are completely up to the Team Manager.
